Designing for Tech!

 

The Future Entrepreneur Challenge Program UX Design course is designed for middle and high school students to learn the UX design skills they will need for entrepreneurship. Throughout this course, students will learn and work through the entirety of the User-Centered Design process, which includes discovery, design and validation, and make presentation videos.

 

By the end of the course, students will have:

  • Learned UX theories, design tools, and skills
  • Learned video presentation techniques
  • Demonstrated the knowledge through a project
  • Received a UX design course certificate

  • Brainstorm and identify needs
  • Learn how to do research
  • Know how to sketch a wireframe
  • Learn tools to record interviews
2Low-fidelity prototype & interview
  • Plan and prioritize product features and create a user flow
  • Use Balsamiq and Marvel to create a product mockup and low-fidelity prototype
  • Learn how to interview potential users and synthesize the information from interviews
3High-fidelity product prototype & user testing
  • Use Figma to create a high-fidelity product prototype
  • Learn how to use Figma Templates
  • Test the prototype
4Polished product prototype & final presentation video
  • Graphic Design Basics
  • Polish the prototype

 

 The 5th session will be the final presentation.
