So my 530i has been throwing up this drivetrain malfunction warning on and off for the past week and honestly it's stressing me out. Sometimes it comes on for a day then disappears for two days and then comes back again, which makes me think it could be something relatively simple like a sensor but I really don't want to gamble on that. I work in ICAD and I live over near Musaffah so I'm hoping to find somewhere reasonably close to that corridor because dropping the car off and getting back to work is going to be a hassle if it's too far out of the way. I've heard there are a few workshops around but it's so hard to tell who actually knows what they're doing versus who just has the fancy diagnostic tools but no real expertise. So I finally pulled the trigger on a pre-owned X5 and I'm absolutely loving it, but the previous owner clearly wasn't as fussy about paint as I am. There's some light swirling on the hood and the interior leather needs some serious love too. I work over near the ICAD area and I've been trying to figure out where to get expert BMW detailing near ICAD Abu Dhabi because I don't really trust those random roadside places that just use the same bucket of water on every car that pulls in. I found a couple of spots online that looked promising but the reviews were all over the place. Ideally I want somewhere that uses quality German-approved products and won't leave any water spots behind. I'm even considering getting a ceramic coating done if the price is right.
