Anyone know a reliable BMW garage near ICAD that won't overcharge?
So my 530i has been throwing up this drivetrain malfunction warning on and off for the past week and honestly it's stressing me out. Sometimes it comes on for a day then disappears for two days and then comes back again, which makes me think it could be something relatively simple like a sensor but I really don't want to gamble on that. I work in ICAD and I live over near Musaffah so I'm hoping to find somewhere reasonably close to that corridor because dropping the car off and getting back to work is going to be a hassle if it's too far out of the way. I've heard there are a few workshops around but it's so hard to tell who actually knows what they're doing versus who just has the fancy diagnostic tools but no real expertise. What I really need is a certified BMW workshop serving ICAD and Musaffah because I feel like that designation at least means they've got proper training and access to the right technical information. I don't mind paying a fair price for good work but I've had experiences before where garages see a BMW badge and suddenly the quote doubles for no good reason. If anyone's got a solid recommendation for a place that's honest and competent in that area please let me know, I'd really appreciate some guidance here.
