Katrina’s death has left Kira in a very vulnerable situation. Her house has been burned, due to the custom they have when someone dies of sickness. She has nothing left that might help her live, and on top of that, she has a slight deformity in her leg. Now she is alone and must find a way to survive and to stay as a part of their society.
