I think that domestic violence can't be essentially cured, but stopped temporarily, because after lots of research, I found out that if someone hits another person once, and they don't get stopped, it'll always repeat, even if it doesn't happen for a long time. To use some chinese quotes to sum it up, it'll be 虽然三年不鸣,一名惊人. That quote is a little off topic but it summarizes the main idea. So to summarize everything, I don't think it can be cured, only stopped for a short period of time.

Hi Sophia, here is my correction:
I think that domestic violence can't be fundamentally cured. However, it can be stopped temporarily because, after lots of research, I found out that if someone hits another person once, and they don't get stopped, it'll always repeat - even if it doesn't happen for a long time. To use a Chinese quote to sum it up, we can refer to the expression 虽然三年不鸣,一名惊人 (suīrán sān nián bù míng, yī míng jīngrén). That quote is a little off-topic, but it summarizes the main idea. So to summarize everything, I don't think it can be cured, only stopped for a short period of time.
