This is a list of data breaches, using data compiled from various sources, including press reports, government news releases, and mainstream news articles. The list includes those involving the theft or compromise of 30,000 or more records, although many smaller breaches occur continually. Breaches of large organizations where the number of records is still unknown are also listed. In addition, the various methods used in the breaches are listed, with hacking being the most common.
In total, there are 1,160,253,228 unique combinations of email addresses and passwords. This is when treating the password as case sensitive but the email address as not case sensitive. This also includes some junk because hackers being hackers, they don't always neatly format their data dumps into an easily consumable fashion. (I found a combination of different delimiter types including colons, semicolons, spaces and indeed a combination of different file types such as delimited text files, files containing SQL statements and other compressed archives.)
Last week, multiple people reached out and directed me to a large collection of files on the popular cloud service, MEGA (the data has since been removed from the service). The collection totalled over 12,000 separate files and more than 87GB of data. One of my contacts pointed me to a popular hacking forum where the data was being socialised, complete with the following image:
Q. Is there a list of which sites are included in this breachI've reproduced a list that was published to the hacking forum I mentioned and that contains 2,890 file names. This is not necessarily complete (nor can I easily verify it), but it may help some people understand the origin of their data a little better.
Password cracking is a mechanism that is used in most of the parts of hacking. Exploitation uses it to exploit the applications by cracking their administrator or other account passwords, Information Gathering uses it when we have to get the social media or other accounts of the C.E.O. or other employees of the target organization, Wifi Hacking uses it when we have to crack the hash from the captured wifi password hash file, etc.
So to be a good Ethical hacker one must be aware of password cracking techniques. Though it is easy to crack passwords by just using guessing techniques, it is very time consuming and less efficient so in order to automate the task, we have a lot of tools. When it comes to tools Kali Linux is the Operating System that stands first, So here we have a list of tools in Kali Linux that may be used for Password Cracking.
In order to hack a password, we have to try a lot of passwords to get the right one. When an attacker uses thousands or millions of words or character combinations to crack a password there is no surety that any one of those millions of combinations will work or not. This collection of a different combination of characters is called a wordlist. And in order to crack a password or a hash, we need to have a good wordlist which could break the password. So to do so we have a tool in Kali Linux called crunch.
The hard levels of Hackvent conitnued with more web hacking, reverse engineering, crypto, and an esoteric programming language. In the reversing challenges, there was not only an iPhone debian package, but also a PS4 update file.
Now, we would have a demonstration of the tools that have been developed specifically to simulate attacks simply without getting overloaded by payloads and without worrying about fuzzing templates. There are simple tools that can be run and used to check to see if we have enough security for our API. It will also check for the vulnerability of a system to particle attacks. Next we will talk about how to hack API with GoTestWAF.
Password cracking is when a hacker uncovers plaintext passwords or unscrambles hashed passwords stored in a computer system. Password cracking tools leverage computing power to help a hacker discover passwords through tri
